About the Role
The Company is looking for an Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to significantly contribute to the financial health and sustainability of the organization. In this critical role, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, accounting, budgeting, and compliance operations. You will manage a multi-billion-dollar portfolio, ensure the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements, direct audits, and maintain adherence to state and federal financial compliance regulations.
Key responsibilities include overseeing procurement and vendor payments, managing fund transfers and bond activities, and preparing the annual budget. You will also present financial information to oversight bodies, collaborate with other agencies, supervise your team, and ensure accurate reporting through the organization's financial management system.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in financial leadership roles, specifically with managing large portfolios. Expertise in cash flow analysis, capital management, and a strong background in month-end close processes and financial reporting are essential. You should also possess proficiency in utilizing and overseeing business systems for financial operations, comprehensive knowledge of state and federal financial compliance regulations, and a track record of leading and developing teams in high-pressure environments. Exceptional analytical and communication skills are a must, particularly for presenting complex financial data. A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, with an advanced degree or certification preferred.
