Asset Protection Associate – responsibilities, safety, and collaboration across security, health and safety, data, and process improvements within Walmart Sams Club facilities. Responsibilities
Asset Protection: possess knowledge of asset protection policies, practices, and guidelines; monitor and maintain access control equipment; support facility security staff. Employee Health and Safety: possess knowledge of OSHA guidelines; conduct safety and food safety audits; support emergency evacuations; maintain a directory of emergency response personnel; summon emergency services as necessary; analyze and report health and safety risks. Partnership and Collaboration: identify stakeholders; deliver project activity; support process updates and changes; solve basic business issues; demonstrate knowledge of the supported business unit/organization. Data and Digital Literacy: gather and interpret data in a digital environment; analyze and report using existing models/templates; ensure data quality; suggest automation opportunities (e.g., RPA, AI, cloud applications). EHS Training Delivery: support training activities; collect participant feedback; utilize training lifecycles; maintain repositories of benchmarks and best practices; explain processes to contractors. Influential Communication: organize thoughts and communicate credibly; present to and influence team members and business partners; use data to support recommendations; actively listen and provide constructive feedback. Process Improvement: understand key processes; identify gaps; suggest improvements; participate in investigations and root-cause analysis; support incident investigations under supervision. Environmental Protection: understand environmental regulations; implement Walmart environmental policies; promote environmental awareness within the organization. Operational Excellence: explain operational functions; clarify department roles and interdependencies; locate and read SOP/OBW information; identify tasks in operations functions. General Compliance: comply with company policies, ethics, and integrity; apply the Open Door Policy; manage priorities, deadlines, and progress; adapt to change. Benefits and Perks
