Retail Store Associate

This role is vital to the success of our retail operations. As a Retail Store Associate, you will engage with wholesale and retail customers, understanding their needs and providing expert advice on Sherwin-Williams products. You will play a key role in resolving customer concerns and ensuring a positive shopping experience while staying informed about product features and maintaining our store's high standards. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering exceptional customer service to maximize satisfaction Assisting customers in person and by phone to identify their needs and recommend suitable products Building strong relationships with customers Accurately processing sales transactions according to company policies Meeting sales goals consistently on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis Maintaining accurate work orders and product formulas Retrieving and stocking products from the sales floor and warehouse Tinting and mixing products to match customer specifications Setting up displays and maintaining the store's presentable appearance Cleansing store equipment regularly Loading and unloading delivery trucks Assisting with deliveries when necessary Keeping assigned areas organized and fully stocked Remaining knowledgeable about our product offerings Complying with inventory control processes Suggesting improvements to enhance sales This is a part-time opportunity to join our team at Store #1840, located at: 3309 E. Sunshine St., Ste. C, Springfield, MO 65804. Minimum requirements include: At least eighteen (18) years of age Legal authorization to work in the country without requiring sponsorship for a work visa A valid, unrestricted Driver's License The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without accommodation Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without accommodation Preferred qualifications include: A high school diploma or GED At least one year of experience in a retail, delivery, or customer service role Prior experience selling paint and related products Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment Proficiency in more than one language, especially Spanish At Sherwin-Williams, we value our people and are committed to providing a supportive work environment, excellent benefits, and growth opportunities.
