ATTENTION ALASKA RESIDENTS ONLY! The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Central Design and Engineering Services is looking for an Engineer/Architect II in Wasilla to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

Position Overview This is a project management position responsible for planning, managing, and controlling all activities necessary for the development of small to medium capital improvement projects of average complexity. You will coordinate in-house design staff and/or private architectural and engineering consultants, functional groups within the Department, and other agencies to deliver the mission and make a significant impact on Alaska's transportation infrastructure.

As a project manager you will plan, organize, and execute transportation improvement projects, collaborate with multiple functional sections, lead cross‑disciplinary staff, communicate progress to the public, and coordinate with federal and state agencies to deliver Central Region projects.

The working environment you can expect Location: 500 S Seward Meridian Parkway, Wasilla, AK. The office includes modern cubicle space, a short commute to Anchorage (45‑60 minutes) and proximity to Parks Highway. Travel to project sites may be required for short durations.

Special Requirements Valid driver’s license required. Position requires registration as a professional Civil Engineer or Architect in the state of Alaska.

Minimum Qualifications Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect and one year of professional experience as an Engineer/Architect I or Engineering Associate in the State of Alaska, or an equivalent.
