Under the supervision of a Technical Unit Supervisor, this position is part of a team that has overall responsibility for the computer and network infrastructure that supports the operations of the Wisconsin Court System enterprise, which includes over 6,000 computing devices. The selected hire will service court customers throughout the state and will be based in Madison, Wisconsin. This position has five main areas of responsibility: Provides maintenance and support for Wisconsin Court System software and hardware. Installs, configures and troubleshoots computer hardware and software in county courthouses and court system offices throughout Wisconsin. Provides technical customer support to all court system employees and takes corrective action. Performs field service to upgrade hardware or troubleshoot and resolve technology issues. Responds effectively and efficiently to unplanned events such as system failures or natural disasters involving production systems. Work with clerks of circuit court, judiciary staff, and county IT staff. Perform physical installations and support in courtrooms, offices, and server areas. Travel to off-site locations for installations and troubleshooting. Other notables: Candidate (or their vendor) must provide insurance for the candidate and the vehicle if used for travel.
