Job Overview
Engineering role focused on configuring and installing IT environments for the Wisconsin Court System at the Supreme Court, Madison, WI. Contract: 7 months starting 11/24/2025.
Responsibilities
Provide maintenance and support for Wisconsin Court System software and hardware.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software in county courthouses and court offices statewide.
Provide technical customer support to all court system employees and take corrective action.
Perform field service to upgrade hardware or troubleshoot and resolve technology issues.
Respond effectively to unplanned events such as system failures or natural disasters involving production systems.
Travel Minimum 50% statewide travel; extensive travel (25‑50%) required throughout Wisconsin.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Ability to set up computers, peripherals, and audio/visual equipment.
Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and networking.
Experience in technical troubleshooting and customer service.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to implement infrastructure hardware, address technical emergencies, and implement cybersecurity policies.
Education and Experience Required
Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Technician, or related field.
Experience providing phone‑based technical support.
Experience in computer hardware and software support and maintenance.
Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting computers, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
Education and Experience Preferred
Experience or training in audio/visual technologies including video conferencing tools.
Experience or training in Windows Server.
Experience or training in Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services).
Experience or training in Active Directory and Group Policy.
Experience or training in Local Area Networks.
