Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 3 Data Center Technician to join our IT operations team. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity and performance of our data center infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on GPU cluster deployments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hyperscale environments, server hardware, network infrastructure, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Key Responsibilities General Duties:
Execute tasks from Level 1 and Level 2 technician roles as needed.
Perform server and switch installations, including cabling and component upgrades.
Ensure all installations meet data center standards for quality and organization.
Collaborate with network administrators to verify connectivity and resolve issues.
Conduct audits of servers and consumables.
Troubleshoot server issues and perform break‑fix tasks.
Manage firmware updates and IP configurations.
Support network admins with hardware replacements, cable rerouting, and optic swaps.
Rack and stack servers/switches for remote configuration.
Deploy and configure GPUs, ensuring optimal performance.
Advanced Responsibilities
Lead advanced troubleshooting and ticket resolution.
Act as liaison between technicians and management.
Oversee workload prioritization and team coordination.
Review and validate build documentation prior to project execution.
Direct build activities and ensure alignment with data center standards.
Provide strategic input to support program growth.
Manage multiple concurrent projects in a high‑pressure environment.
Monitor project timelines and communicate status updates.
Enforce safety protocols and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of experience in a hyperscale data center environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and safely climb ladders.
Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods.
Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Skills & Certifications Certifications:
CompTIA A+, Server+, CCENT (required); CCNA, MCP/MSCE (preferred); OSHA30 or higher.
Technical Skills:
Structured cabling (Cat5, Cat6, fiber optics)
Rack & stack operations
Server hardware installation and troubleshooting
GPU deployment and diagnostics
Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
Windows OS experience
ITIL Framework familiarity (ITSM, Change/Problem Management)
Network fundamentals (OSI Layers 1–3)
Experience with ticketing systems and project tracking tools

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, WI.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $33.00 per hour.
