is currently seeking a
Senior Human Resources Business Partner
to join our client’s organization in the Harvey, IL area. A global leader in specialty lubricants is looking for a seasoned HR professional to shape people strategy and support a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to advance from HR Administrator to a senior partner position with direct impact on plant and corporate operations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic advisor and hands‑on HR partner for U.S. and Canadian operations
Build trusted relationships and address employee relations issues
Deliver seamless onboarding and new hire integration
Manage leave programs (FMLA, ADA) and workers’ compensation
Oversee visa processes and support international mobility assignments
Provide backup support for benefits, payroll, and HRIS administration
Support limited recruiting and deliver training on workers’ comp and supervisor development
Lead or participate in HR initiatives, including system implementations and process improvements
Requirements
3+ years of HR experience (Generalist or Senior Generalist level)
Strong understanding of HR programs: FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Comp
Experience with employee relations and addressing employee issues
Proficiency in HRIS systems
Adaptable, resourceful, and able to figure things out without a lot of handholding
Comfortable with change and ambiguity
Preferences
Manufacturing industry experience
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
Experience with global mobility and visa processes
