Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist
Location: Carlsbad, CA | Onsite | Temp-to-Hire
Are you detail-oriented, resourceful, and ready to dive into complex AR challenges? Join a collaborative accounting team focused on cleaning up and managing large enterprise accounts. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be the go-to person for resolving outstanding balances, working directly in customer portals, and supporting the team as they prepare for year-end and a new audit cycle.
What You’ll Do:
Manage collections for major accounts, including navigating customer-specific portals for large enterprise accounts to research, dispute, and resolve unpaid invoices
Issue credit memos, address short payments, and coordinate with sales operations to gather supporting documentation
Investigate payment discrepancies, upload required documents, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances
Maintain accurate records in the accounting system and use Excel for data analysis and reconciliation
Support AR clean-up projects and help reduce backlog, focusing on top-priority accounts
Collaborate with a small, supportive team and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:
Experience with AR collections, especially for large or enterprise accounts
Comfortable working in customer portals and handling detailed, investigative tasks
Ability to issue credit memos and manage billing-related activities
Strong Excel skills for remittance and reconciliation tasks
Positive attitude, willingness to “dig in” and solve problems, and adaptability to changing priorities

Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
