Respond to helpdesk tickets and resolve day‑to‑day user issues (password resets, software errors, connectivity, printing, etc.) Onboard new hires: provision laptops/desktops, create Microsoft 365 & Active Directory accounts, assign permissions, and conduct basic orientation Offboard departing staff: disable accounts, revoke access, wipe/recover devices, and update inventory Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and network problems on Windows workstations and peripherals Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and Active Directory (user/group management, GPOs) Maintain Windows 10/11 workstations via imaging, updates, patching, and troubleshooting Support local network infrastructure including switches, Wi‑Fi access points, VLANs, and basic firewall rules Track IT assets using inventory software; order laptops, monitors, peripherals, and maintain accurate stock records Coordinate with external vendors (ISP, telecom, hardware suppliers, MSPs) for installations, repairs, and project requirements Create and maintain internal IT documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides Generate regular reports on ticket trends, system health, project status, and asset lifecycle Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration. Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (admin center, licensing, Teams, Intune). Solid experience with Windows 10/11 deployment, troubleshooting, and management. Hands‑on knowledge of Active Directory (users, groups, OU structure, basic GPOs). Fundamental networking skills: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi troubleshooting, switch port configuration. Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues. Excellent communication skills—able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical staff. Calm, patient, and solution‑oriented under pressure. Must work fully onsite at Town Hall and be able to commute to satellite locations (valid driver’s license required). And other duties as assigned. Additional Skills
Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation (user provisioning, reporting, etc.). Familiarity with Azure AD / Entra ID, Conditional Access, or Intune MDM. Prior experience supporting government, non‑profit, or mid‑size organizations (100–500 users). IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, etc.).
