Terra Guidance, a leading provider of geosteering services for the oil and gas & geothermal industries, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geosteering Geologist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our clients to provide accurate and efficient geosteering services, ensuring they meet their drilling objectives.
Responsibilities
Conduct real-time geosteering analysis of horizontal wells using various software tools.
Provide clients timely feedback and updates to ensure drilling objectives are met.
Identify geological anomalies and provide recommendations for changes in well trajectory.
Create detailed subsurface geological models using well data and other available information.
Work collaboratively with other geologists, drilling engineers, and clients to optimize drilling operations and reduce drilling costs.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's in Geology or Geophysics.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in geosteering or related field.
Proficient in using geosteering software such as StarSteer, ZoneVu, and SES.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, real-time environment.
Familiarity with drilling operations and drilling rigs is a plus.
A professional home office is required for this job. This is defined as a quiet place where outside noises are kept to a minimum so that the employee can focus on the tasks. All work will be completed in the home office during your 12-hour shift.
Willingness to be on a rotation between days and nights once a month
