Area Supervisors are responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store as well as the general operations and supervision of the Store when functioning as the Manager on Duty. Open and close the Store, supervise Associates, maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment, ensure proper merchandise presentation, and maintain a clean work area at all times. Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed. Front End supervision and operations, including ensuring Associates are executing to Company standards, managing line pace to reduce Customer wait times, and maintaining Front End efficiency. Refit and supervise the following functional areas: Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments, Customer Service, Personal and Store Brand, General Merchandising, Loss Prevention, Front End Operations, Fitting Rooms, and Administrative Duties as assigned by the Store Manager. Administrative duties include cash handling controls, payroll administration, scheduling compliance, and other duties assigned by the Store Manager. Supervise stockrooms and back stock, participate in merchandising of the department, and ensure compliance with monthly presentation guidelines. Lead implementation of Company Best Practices and drive productivity with minimal steps and touches while working. Essential Functions

Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments: promote safety as the number one priority, maintain awareness on the sales floor, correct or report unsafe conditions, manage building security, and test fire alarm systems as scheduled. Customer Service: treat Customers and Associates with respect, demonstrate courtesy and professionalism, recognize Associates using Company programs. Personal and Store Brand: represent the Company brand, maintain professional appearance and dress code adherence, keep areas clean and merchandised to standard, manage daily trash removal. General Merchandising: manage recovery, sizing, markdowns to Company standards; receive merchandise; process all merchandise with urgency; maintain cleanliness and organization of Stockrooms; back-stock security and processing; ensure back-stock and merchandising are aligned with policy; reduce loss due to damage; follow monthly presentation guidelines; manage floor moves and signing; handle re-wraps as needed. Loss Prevention: uphold Loss Prevention Awareness Program, maintain customer engagement for deterrence, safeguard confidential information, ensure Public View Monitor (PVM) functionality, conduct Code 50 inspections, and maximize productivity with streamlined processes. Front End Supervision and Operations: implement Company Best Practices, manage Front End standards, keep pace and customer flow efficient, train Associates on cash registers and shortage controls, manage breaks and have ready supplies, ensure equipment works, expedite go backs and tagging, and teach Scan and Bag practices. Fitting Rooms: maintain cleanliness, audit garment tags, ensure go-back compliance and proper tagging/ security tagging as needed. Administrative Duties: cash controls, payroll administration, scheduling compliance, and other duties as assigned by Store Manager. Qualifications and Skills

Excellent verbal communication skills; English fluency. Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred. Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Physical Requirements

Ability to use all Store equipment; stand/walk for up to 100% of shifts; bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs; use janitorial equipment and ladders as required. Other Information

Associates who work Stockroom shifts: ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 lbs. Supervisory Responsibilities: Retail Associates; Stockroom Leads (where applicable). EEO Statement
