What you will do

You’ll be the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three tax offices. You’ll lead the customer-centric teams across the offices you manage and help accelerate seasonal tax business. A typical day includes overseeing operations, coaching and developing staff, and ensuring service excellence. You will start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season and transition to full-time from January to April, including evenings and weekends as needed. This role is in-person and not remote. Responsibilities

Provide leadership over three tax offices, including frontline management of associates and driving a high-quality client experience. Deliver growth objectives for the offices and cultivate local partnerships and community involvement. Assist the District General Manager (DGM) in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions. Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with the Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns. Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions. Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office staff. Create and manage associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management. Travel between offices as required. Prepare tax returns as needed, following successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment. Qualifications

People management experience with a track record of growing and developing associates. Ability to execute growth plans and lead toward a growth-oriented culture. Strong decision-making and judgment skills; comfortable in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset. Computer proficiency with MS Office. Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns). Why work for us
