Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities. Works with the EHS Manager to establish and maintain policies and programs for a safe working environment. Assists in the specification for production equipment and the selection, purchase and installation into the plant. Monitors contractor safety performance and coordinates contractor activities when assigned. Monitors spare parts and supply minimums/maximums to ensure just-in-time inventory; identify obsolete parts for timely obsolescence. Ensures equipment is maintained and in good working condition by scheduling timely and routine preventive maintenance to improve reliability. Manages activities and maintenance of grounds, building and parking lots. Supervises maintenance technicians and provides necessary employee development and training. Develops continuous improvement programs for the maintenance department, including the preventive maintenance program. Ensures security, fire and emergency systems are operational, tested and inspected. Reviews and signs invoices and approves purchase orders for the maintenance department/projects. Tracks facility utilities and implements energy-saving initiatives. Acts as an interface between maintenance, manufacturing, contractors and engineering. Schedules internal maintenance work orders and coordinates with outside vendors, understanding internal constraints and when outside expertise is needed. Establishes and monitors staff performance and development goals, assigns accountabilities, sets priorities and conducts annual performance appraisals. Promotes a strong safety culture and adheres to Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures. Demonstrates Bemis Core Values and contributes to a high-performance culture. Follows company policies and procedures. Meets or exceeds plant business plans and KPIs. Integrates continuous improvement initiatives into the plant culture. What We Value

Industrial mechanical, electrical, pneumatic operations knowledge with ability to identify needed resources. Preventive maintenance administration with the ability to enhance current systems. Strong communication skills – both oral and written. Strong organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills to manage and execute projects. Ability to troubleshoot in a plastics processing environment (preferred). Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD or equivalents. Strong supervisory skills to lead projects and department personnel. What We Want From You

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or engineering field strongly preferred. Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility maintenance within a manufacturing environment required. Our Expectations
