Overview
Security Operations Center Operator II - Seattle, WA at Centerra Group. (Full and Part time) Position described as a senior Operator in the SOC, with responsibilities including systems administration, training, incident reporting, development of SOPs, enforcement, and updates. The Operator will monitor multiple screens for cameras and access control, gather information, analyze data, and provide input to the Supervisor.
Pay Transparency/Compensation: $42.92/hr Responsibilities
Work rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage for the SOC. Serve as the senior Operator during the assigned shift. Train newly-hired Operators. Ensure rapid dispatch of security personnel to ensure quick reaction, disruption, and resolution of security incidents. Serve as an administrator for VSS and alarm monitoring/access control software in coordination with other SOC personnel. Assist the Supervisor with the consolidation, production, and review of incident reporting products for delivery to higher-level supervisors and Client leadership. Draft, develop, and update SOC SOPs, processes and systems to ensure vigilant and comprehensive video monitoring, incident detection, and incident management. Assist the Supervisor with the enforcement of SOPs and automated systems to allow other Operators to provide proper oversight and guidance to security personnel during security events. Communicate verbally or in writing in a clear and concise manner while in stressful situations. Produce suspicious/criminal activity and incident reporting products for delivery to higher-level supervisors and Client leadership. Draft and disseminate BOLO flyers for individuals who have acted against Clients with malicious intent or who pose a threat to Clients' properties and personnel. Act as the subject matter expert and provide oversight on security-related technology systems, including VSS, VMS, ACS and information management. Provide assistance with access control, access card procedures, access control reports, Lenel reports and VSS investigations. Observe and recognize patterns of activity and coordinate or dispatch appropriate security monitoring measures and response teams. Monitor cameras and identify and predict suspicious/criminal activity. Use multiple sources to identify and analyze potential risks, business opportunities and/or threats to Clients' corporate critical infrastructure. Assist Supervisors to develop and produce intelligence-driven support products that assess risk and analyze data to mitigate vulnerabilities to Clients' assets, operations, strategy, and brand reputation. Utilize VSS, access control and alarm monitoring software and systems (e.g., Intellicene, CCURE, Lenel, Genetec, PSIMS, MS Office) and visualization tools in daily operations. Maintain a log of all rotating shifts' activities including notifications from security partners. Deliver concise and effective information to inform and direct security responders and dispatch security elements to areas of concern. Understand the operation of all communications and information technology hardware, software and firmware used for security monitoring, including radio transmissions and notification platforms.
