Team Leader , you’ll provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You’ll be the front-line manager responsible for developing tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives. Responsibilities
Provide leadership and development for tax office associates to deliver high-quality client service and meet office growth objectives. Lead daily activities to ensure work is completed on time, with attention to quality standards, priorities, and overall goals. Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates. Create associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping, and manage overtime. Recruit and interview candidates for tax office associate positions in collaboration with leadership. Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and resolve conflicts to maintain client satisfaction. Prepare tax returns as required and develop knowledge of tax topics and products to serve as a resource for associates. Partner with the District General Manager to develop and implement office-level growth plans and support local partnerships and community involvement. Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns in partnership with the appropriate HR resources. Qualifications
Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or a similar role; experience supervising or managing people. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be a self-starter. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns). Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements. Computer proficiency with MS Office. Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to business needs. High school diploma or equivalent (or higher). Benefits and Well-being
