Overview As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You’ll serve as the front-line manager to develop tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives. You will also advance your knowledge and serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates. Responsibilities
Lead and develop a tax office team to deliver quality client service and meet growth goals Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans Recruit and interview candidates for tax office associate positions Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns Manage scheduling, timekeeping, and conflicts to ensure proper staffing Oversee daily activities to ensure timely completion of tasks with attention to quality Coach associates to meet Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information Prepare tax returns as required and ensure accuracy Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with support from HR Qualifications
Experience in customer service, supervisory, or similar roles Experience supervising or managing people Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course if preparing tax returns Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and state requirements Computer proficiency with MS Office Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Customer-centric mindset, driven and resilient Flexible schedule and adaptability to business needs High school diploma or equivalent (or higher) Benefits
