Position: Quality Engineer Supervisor (Plastic Injection Molding) Location: South Bend, IN (on-site) Schedule: Monday to Friday (based on business needs) Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 (Dependent on Experience) Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Quality Engineer Supervisor (Plastic Injection Molding) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards through various inspection methods. Responsibilities
Supervise all quality department activities, including inspection and audit, to ensure compliance with the quality system and customer requirements and expectations Perform press checks Perform quality control inspections on products to ensure compliance with specifications Develop and report quality metrics for all stages of manufacturing, from purchased material through customer receipt Train, supervise and empower all inspectors, quality technicians and quality engineers in the assigned business unit Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and coordinate measuring machines Conduct quality audits to identify areas for improvement in the production process Implement, improve, and maintain quality systems and procedures Monitor adherence to FDA regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Handle customer concern responses Participate in internal and external meetings Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly Ideal Candidate Experience
Previous Quality Engineer & Quality Supervisor experience Experience with customer communication regarding quality matters Experience overseeing Quality Auditors and presence on the production floor to monitor production quality Proven Quality Assurance experience within Plastic Injection Molding or related industries Experience with precision measuring tools and instruments (3+ years) Knowledge of quality management systems Familiarity with FDA regulations and cGMP standards Experience with external ISO audits Ability to conduct quality audits effectively Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection processes Experience with medical new product lines (OQ / PQ) Benefits
