Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to serve in a PALACE Acquire (PAQ) centrally managed position in the Logistics Career Field. This is a developmental position requiring the performance of assignments that are designed to further develop applicable analytical and evaluative skills and techniques. Performs developmental assignments of moderate difficulty where work procedures are established and a number of specific guidelines exist. Independently performs recurring assignments of limited, but gradually increasing, difficulty and complexity. Participates in special initiatives, studies, and projects. Drafts or prepares a variety of documents to include newsletter items, responses to routine inquiries, reports, letters, and other related documents. Qualifications
You may qualify for GS-07 if you meet one of the following: Education and academic achievement options (see original for full text); or One year of specialized work experience comparable to GS-05 in the Federal service; or A combination of education and experience meeting 100% of the requirements. Knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and practices of logistics management. Skill in applying basic logistics concepts to entry-level assignments. Clear written and oral communication of factual and procedural information. Ability to analyze problems, gather pertinent data, and identify solutions. Ability to plan, organize work, and consult effectively with coworkers. Conditions of Employment
