Real Estate Paralegal

to help them maintain their standard of excellence.

This role is located in the Panhandle of WV and will provide essential support to attorneys handling a broad range of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. The ideal candidate is customer centric, highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and prepare real estate transaction documents including purchase and sale agreements, deeds, leases, easements, title affidavits, closing statements, and related correspondence.

Coordinate and conduct title and survey reviews; identify and help resolve title defects or issues.

Assist attorneys with due diligence review, including gathering, summarizing, and organizing relevant materials.

Maintain and track closing checklists to ensure all deliverables are completed and deadlines met.

Communicate directly with clients, lenders, brokers, title companies, and opposing counsel to coordinate closings.

Prepare and organize closing binders and handle all post-closing follow-up, including recording and filing of documents.

Form and maintain legal entities related to real estate transactions; draft organizational documents and manage state filings.

Support attorneys with legal research, correspondence, and other transactional documentation as needed.

Qualifications

Paralegal Certificate preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of real estate paralegal experience within a law firm setting.

Strong understanding of real estate transaction processes, title review, and closing procedures.

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems; experience with title software is a plus.

Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
