Construction Manager - US, Ohio - 12 Month Contract This is a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn. Responsibilities
Serve as the on-site construction and quality lead during night shift operations, reporting to daytime leadership Monitor and oversee construction activities, ensuring alignment with GMP, design drawings, and safety protocols Provide quality assurance oversight for field installations, particularly related to process piping and clean utilities Interface with general contractors, trade partners, and project engineering to resolve field issues in real time Conduct field inspections, track quality metrics, and support resolution of non-conformances Support readiness for commissioning and turnover by ensuring quality construction practices are followed Drive consistent communication between night and day teams to ensure alignment and smooth handovers Lead safety initiatives and participate in night shift safety walkthroughs and toolbox talks Skills and Experience
Requires extensive experience in construction or quality management on large-scale capital projects ($100m+) Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industries (e.g., food manufacturing, medical devices) Strong field-level experience with process piping systems and clean utilities Knowledge of GMP construction practices and quality expectations in a regulated manufacturing environment Strong understanding of construction safety protocols, with demonstrated ability to enforce and lead safety in the field Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced night shift environment Comfortable collaborating with EPCM firms, trades, and client-side stakeholders Engineering or technical degree preferred (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) Familiarity with relevant construction and quality standards (ASME BPE, ISO, etc.) If this role is of interest, please apply now!
