Loyal Source Government Services We are seeking an Examiner Nurse Practitioner to conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) Examinations for Veterans applying for disability compensation from the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). The role involves reviewing claims, performing focused assessments of claimed injuries, reviewing medical records, and potentially rendering a medical opinion based on the review and completed C&P exam. Charting from home may be required. Each examiner plays a vital role in the overall experience of the Veteran. Job Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations, including reviewing medical history, performing physical examinations, and assessing the impact of disabilities. Review and analyze medical records, diagnostic test results, and other documentation to understand the veteran’s medical history and health condition. Render objective medical opinions regarding the extent of the veteran's health issues and their impact on ability to work and daily activities. Manage case work in the case management system, organize workload, submit findings, and correspond with the Quality Assurance Team. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, specialists, and experts to obtain additional information as needed. Document examination findings accurately in medical opinions and reports following VA guidelines. Partner with Loyal Source departments to gain support and use resources for timely completion of tasks. Manage time effectively, submit schedules, and confirm availability for all C&P exams. Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and standards related to disability examinations. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and VA protocols. Qualifications

Graduate of a professional nursing school accredited by a U.S. Department of Education‑recognized accrediting institution. Valid, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (not barred in any U.S. state). Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Preferred experience in conducting medical disability examinations or related field. Basic Life Support certification (renewed). Previous military experience or familiarity with military/veteran communities (preferred). Completion of specialized training or continuing education in Medical Disability Evaluations, occupational health, or related areas (advantageous). Proficiency in comprehensive medical assessments, diagnostic interpretation, and evidence‑based medical opinion formulation. Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, organizational, and time‑management skills. Empathy, compassion, and professionalism in patient care. Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding, follow detailed instructions, and solve problems involving a few variables. Technological Ability

Competent in MS Word, Outlook, Adobe PDF, web‑based platforms, electronic medical records systems, Teams, and learning management systems. Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods standing and sitting at a desk; ability to lift up to 15 pounds; full range of motion for physical examinations. Travel Requirements

10% travel to support other clinics; additional travel for training or company events. Schedule Requirements

Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm (standard schedule). Holidays: clinics closed. About Loyal Source
