The incumbent sustains an environment of goodwill for the practice while providing optimum services to patients and performs front office support for the department/clinical team. Provide front office support for the department/clinical team Coordinate screening, authorization, and scheduling processes within a clinic setting Assist with appointments for primary care, specialty departments, outside providers or vendors, surgical, inpatient and outpatient services; may coordinate hospital admissions Serve as clinic specialist and resource for coordination with billing, referrals, authorizations, In Basket and Work Queues in EPIC Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : High School / GED or related work experience; experience with medical office/scheduling or insurance procedures; ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to workload changes Preferred Qualifications : Three (3) years of customer service or surgery scheduling; recent EMR experience (EPIC); experience in billing, authorizations, referrals, and medical terminology; outpatient medical office experience; EPIC knowledge for referrals and authorizations Knowledge of health care insurance systems (e.g., Medi-Cal, MediCare, HMO, PPO, etc.) and ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding Key Competencies
Communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills for effective patient and co-worker interactions Proficiency with computer applications (email, spreadsheets, word processing, medical office management) Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a dynamic clinical setting Benefits
