Our client is looking for a Field Service Technician to be a part of a team that has overall responsibility for the computer and network infrastructure that supports the operations. Specifically, the Field Service Technician‑Contractor will service court customers throughout the state and will be based in Madison, Wisconsin.
Tasks
Provides maintenance and support for software and hardware.
Installs, configures and troubleshoots computer hardware and software.
Provides technical customer support to all system employees and takes corrective action.
Performs field service to upgrade hardware or troubleshoot and resolve technology issues.
Responds effectively and efficiently to unplanned events such as system failures or natural disasters involving production systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Must have excellent communication and logical thinking skills.
Knowledge of computer operating systems and hardware.
Skill in maintaining computer equipment in courtroom, offices, desks, and central server areas.
Skill in technical troubleshooting.
Physical Demands
Frequent lifting, standing, walking, sitting, handling, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and hand-eye-foot coordination.
Occasional reaching and feeling, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Occasionally move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
NOTE: Candidates must be CURRENT Wisconsin residents. No relocation is allowed. This position is in person in Madison, WI with a minimum travel (75% of the time) throughout the state of Wisconsin required to replace/repair equipment. Individual will be required to use their own vehicle and that vehicle needs to be big enough to carry computer hardware such as printers, scanners and monitors. Mileage will be reimbursed. Location: Madison, WI

Skills Required
2+ years of experience in an Enterprise IT environment.
2+ years of experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting computers, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
2+ years of experience in computer hardware and software support and maintenance.
2+ years of proven ability to install, configure, repair and maintain computer hardware.
Experience implementing infrastructure hardware, addressing technical emergencies, and implementing cyber security policies.
Associate's Degree in computer science, computer technician, or related field.
Skills Desired (A plus to have)
Knowledge of digital audio recording equipment.
Knowledge of computer networking principals.
Knowledge and understanding of user account in an Active Directory environment.
Experience or training in supporting audio/visual technologies including video conferencing tools.
Experience or training in supporting Windows Server.
Experience or training in supporting Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services).
Experience or training in supporting Active Directory and Group Policy.
Experience or training in supporting Local Area Networks.
Experience providing phone-based technical support.
Rate depends on experience.
