RTS Homes is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the construction of multiple single‑family homes from permit to close. This role is essential in upholding our high standards of construction quality, jobsite safety, and customer satisfaction.
The Superintendent is responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process, including scheduling subcontractors, maintaining building code compliance, conducting homeowner walk‑throughs, and delivering homes on time and within scope. This position requires strong leadership, multitasking, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all on‑site construction activities from site planning to occupancy.
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors to ensure timely and quality execution of work.
Conduct daily job site inspections for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
Ensure full compliance with all local and state building codes and inspections.
Conduct homeowner orientations and follow‑up visits to ensure satisfaction.
Approve and authorize subcontractor payments upon satisfactory work completion.
Maintain a safe and organized work site in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Address warranty repairs and follow up with homeowners in a timely and professional manner.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, inspectors, city officials, and homeowners.
Enforce consistency in construction methods and implement company standards and policies.
Identify and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 2–4 years minimum of relevant experience in residential or light commercial construction or construction management.
Proven understanding of construction sequencing, project scheduling, and workflow management.
Strong technical knowledge of home construction and applicable building codes.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation required.
