Overview
Join Vibra Travel as an Ultrasound Technician and work with a dedicated recruiter to secure a variety of local and non‑local assignments across the country. Candidates benefit from a competitive hourly rate, a tax‑free stipend (if applicable), no pay cuts mid‑contract, referral bonuses up to $1,000 per referral, and license reimbursement for travel to states requiring new licensing.
Responsibilities Provide efficient, quality‑oriented patient care by producing diagnostic ultrasounds to assist medical personnel in patient diagnosis. Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, position them correctly, and operate the ultrasound equipment to capture high‑quality images. Coordinate the process for ordering the procedure and transmitting images to the radiologist. Operate and maintain imaging equipment (ultrasound devices) and ensure compliance with radiation protection protocols. Monitor patients throughout procedures, observing for complications and reporting findings to the supervising physician.
Minimum Qualifications
Current ARDMS certification required.
Current, valid, and active state certification to practice as an Ultrasound Technician.
Completion of a specialized certificate program (obstetrics/gynecology, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal) as required.
At least 2 years of recent experience in a specialty area.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.
Recent acute‑care experience for acute‑care and LTAC placements.
Additional Qualifications / Skills
Accurate patient positioning, ensuring comfort, safety, and adherence to protection protocols.
Proficient equipment operation and maintenance of ultrasound machinery.
Patient monitoring during procedures and reporting of complications.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Detail‑oriented and organized approach to workflow.
Certificates, Licensures, Registrations
Current ARDMS certification.
Current, valid, and active state certification.
Specialized certificate in obstetrics/gynecology, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal.
Current BLS certification from a Vibra‑Travel approved vendor (AHA preferred).
Vaccinations & Screening Vibra follows federal and state requirements for vaccinations, vaccination offerings, and disease screening. Some states and locations may have additional requirements.
