Overview Metro Dentalcare in Richfield, MN is looking for a front desk representative (Business Assistant) to join our team. This role supports the Heartland Dental network and front office operations at the Richfield location.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients as they enter the office to create a positive first impression

Manage front office duties, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, and communicating with patients and insurance companies

Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and records

Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers in the office

File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims, verification of benefits and explanation of coverage

Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivables

Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients

Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential

About Metro Dentalcare Metro Dentalcare Richfield is part of Heartland Dental supported offices. Join a 27-person team that thrives on collaboration, communication, and community. Salary range: $23-26/hour. Schedule: Monday - Friday.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Access to minimum PHI for job functions; HIPAA training will be required; ability to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards

Preferred Experience

1+ years in a dental or medical setting

1+ years of insurance billing and accounts receivable

Dentrix or other dental software experience

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally

Occasional virtual or in-person training sessions

A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions, unless prohibited by state law; test will be arranged during pre-employment process
