What This Role Will Be Doing
The Supply Planner is responsible for managing the inventory plan and strategy across the distribution network facilities to service demand for Distributed Brand Products. The role requires coherent communication and positive relations with all internal levels of the organization.
Duties To Include (but Not Limited To)
Implement inventory strategies to service demand and reduce out-of-stock issues Engage in the analysis and management of the Distribution Supply Model Monitor open orders to ensure fulfillment and on-time deliveries Maintain strong working relationships and communications with distribution centers and key suppliers to confirm production/shipping schedules Achieve/improve/exceed targeted fill rate metrics Internal item set-up/maintenance Plan and execute procurement of distributed brand products for our distribution locations Work with vendors to minimize lead times, reduce costs, and expedite orders as needed Proactively report product and material availability issues Ability to work on continuous improvement projects
A Distributed Brand Buyer/Planner Demonstrates
Strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data Knowledge of purchasing/supply chain/sourcing fundamental processes Excellent interpersonal skills as well as developed oral and written communication skills to handle internal and external relationships Remain highly organized, flexible, and able to react well to immediate issues with attention to detail and deadlines, which include prompt responses to daily emails and phone requests Ability to prioritize tasks and meet expected goals on time Cross-functional teamwork and communication Motivated to go beyond the job description to ensure the work meets or exceeds expectations Ability to modulate with a dynamic workload: from heavy multi-tasking during peak workloads to very focused, detail-oriented work during critical projects
Education / Experience
Experience in Supply Chain Planning, Production Planning, or Materials Planning Post-Secondary Education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field, preferred APICS Certified (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus Microsoft Excel proficiency required
