Area Supervisor – Store Leadership The Area Supervisor is responsible for a specific area of the store and for the general operations and supervision of the store when the Store Manager is on duty. Area Supervisors open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain safe and secure store environment – practice safety, manage security of building and cash office, and respond to alarms.

Deliver outstanding customer service – treat all customers and Associates with respect, demonstrate courtesy, and recognize associates.

Support company brand – maintain professional appearance, uphold dress code, keep store clean and merchandised to standard.

Execute merchandising – ensure recovery, sizing, and markdowns are completed, receive merchandise, manage stockrooms, and handle floor moves and signage.

Lead loss prevention – maintain public view monitor, conduct package inspections, and safeguard merchandise and information.

Supervise front end operations – train associates on registers, manage line pace, maintain equipment, and enforce front end best practices.

Administer store duties as assigned – conduct cash pulls, manage payroll admin, and support store manager initiatives.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication and fluency in English.

Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.

Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.

Basic mathematical calculation skills common in retail.

Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

Stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100 % of the working time.

Regularly bend at waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.

Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.

Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
