Phlebotomist II
Quest Diagnostics – Ventura, CA
Monday – Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM with rotational weekends
Pay range: $23.70 – $28.29 / hour; annual performance bonus possible.
Responsibilities
Collect specimens (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams); label, centrifuge, aliquot, freeze, and prepare for transport.
Administer oral solutions according to training.
Verify written and electronic orders using lab technology systems.
Enter data accurately; use computer for billing information, collections, and inventory.
Maintain phlebotomy logs, temperature logs, and inventory records.
Perform non‑patient facing duties (stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, email).
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
Complete required training courses online and in person.
Qualifications
Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Keyboard/data‑entry experience.
Flexible schedule: weekends, holidays, on‑call, overtime.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, WA.
