is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13‑week travel assignment in Martin, Tennessee. The opportunity offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.
Pay Base pay: $1,138 per week (actual pay based on experience and qualifications).
Location Facility in Martin, Tennessee.
Qualifications
Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred: COTA certification (NBCOT) or graduate of an accredited OT program.
Experience as an OT Assistant; new graduates are welcome.
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.
Responsibilities
Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions and treatments in accordance with the established treatment plan.
Maintain and operate adaptive equipment and assistive devices integral to occupational therapy interventions.
Provide education to patients and caregivers about occupational therapy techniques and strategies for effective self‑management.
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and ensure continuity of treatment.
Monitor patient responses during treatment, accurately documenting outcomes in the medical record.
Promptly report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Provide care in diverse clinical settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and community clinics, adapting interventions to meet the specific needs of each environment.
Prioritize tasks efficiently to manage multiple patients and responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs during therapy sessions.
Perform additional duties assigned within scope of practice.
Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Read, write, and communicate in English; ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
Proficient PC skills.
Physical ability to stay in a stationary position, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and movement during procedures.
Capacity to manage frequent contact with the general public while meeting deadlines under pressure; ability to work both independently and under close supervision.
Visual acuity sufficient for effective communication and safe task execution.
