Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13‑week travel assignment in Lebanon, Missouri. The successful candidate will provide direct, hands‑on therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and dedicated clinical support.

Pay Base pay range: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

Required Qualifications

Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license in compliance with state regulations.

Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Preferred Qualifications

COTA Certification (NBCOT).

Graduate of an accredited OT program.

Occupational Therapy Assistant experience (new graduates encouraged).

Other certifications or licenses may be required.

Essential Work Functions

Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions according to established treatment plans.

Maintain and operate adaptive equipment and assistive devices.

Provide education to patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and self‑management strategies.

Collaborate with OT and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity.

Monitor patient responses during treatment and accurately document outcomes.

Report findings promptly to the supervising OT.

Provide care in diverse settings, adapting interventions to each environment.

Adjust to various clinical settings and evolving patient care needs with flexibility.

Prioritize tasks to manage multiple patients in a dynamic environment.

Maintain a safe treatment environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.

Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of practice.

Required Essential Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency in reading, writing, and oral communication in English.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; PC proficiency.

Physical ability to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50–100 lb), push, pull, and bend.

Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personnel, maintaining a positive attitude.

Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and equipment use.

Mental resilience to handle public interaction under pressure and maintain focus on details.

Visual acuity and effective communication.
