Job Description and Duties

Under subordination of a Staff Services Manager I, responsible for the District's Adopt‑A‑Highway (AAH) program as primary lead contact for program information.

Conduct community outreach to promote and explain the AAH program to the public, local government agencies and other Caltrans personnel.

Issue AAH information upon request and process AAH permit applications.

Ensure applicants meet program criteria and maintain the District's AAH database.

Submit timely reports to Caltrans Headquarters (HQ) and communicate program information with participants by telephone or in writing.

Serve as Maintenance Sustainability Coordinator, developing the Division's sustainability efforts.

Work closely with HQ, District personnel and others essential to administration of AAH and sustainability programs.

Must possess a valid Class C California Driver License.

Eligibility and Examination Eligibility may be determined by score on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst / Staff Services Analyst exam. Candidates without current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or new to state civil service employment must be on the state examination list. Special Requirements

Possession of a valid Driver’s License is required when operating a state‑owned or leased vehicle.

SoQ must provide: (1) description of how education, training, experience, and skills qualify for position; (2) description of time management, organizational skills, ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
