Position Details
Schedule:
Variable Per Diem, Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
Location:
Poughkeepsie, NY
Job Summary Provides clerical and administrative support, coordinating patient care activities for the physician practice.
Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy of patient information, including demographics and insurance details.
Perform reception duties, greeting and communicating with patients effectively.
Answer phones, route calls, take messages, and convey information accurately.
Register, verify, and schedule patient appointments, tests, and referrals.
Reschedule canceled, no-show, or tickler appointments.
Process record requests, including copying, billing, and recording.
Collect co-pays and reconcile funds for deposit.
Coordinate record retrieval for new and established patients.
Complete audits as assigned.
Handle intake and processing of medical records and correspondence via eFax.
Present a professional appearance and image.
Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the role.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required.
Preferred: 1+ years of healthcare experience.
Compensation Hourly rate: $17.72 - $33.48, based on experience.
