Industrial Electrician II – $1,000 Sign‑On Incentive (Orange County Government)
We’re looking for an Industrial Electrician II to perform skilled electrical repairs and preventive maintenance in an industrial plant environment. The role includes a $1,000 sign‑on incentive.

Job Description / Responsibilities This key position performs skilled electrical repairs and preventive maintenance duties in an industrial plant environment and large building complex.
Install, troubleshoot and repair new and existing controls, instrumentation, and electrical equipment including drives, generators, large motors up to 1,000 HP, lift stations, fuses, breakers and contactors.
Operate low and medium voltage wiring, controls, SCADA/PLC logic and related systems.
Manage arc flash compliance programs and safety protocols.
Maintain and update electrical power distribution controls.
Perform motor preventive maintenance, including removal of hot lubricants, replenishment of fluids, and inspection of components.
Oversee proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promoting continuous safety improvements.
Use work‑order management systems to capture failures, review historical data and report work status.
Prepare scope of work for outside contractors and review term contract inputs for electrical maintenance and projects.
Provide other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
State‑certified or State‑registered Master Electrician with Orange County, or 8 years of technical electrical work experience in a commercial or industrial environment.
Six (6) years of training and graduation from a vocational school or program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Florida driver’s license.

Salary Information Pay Grade: 114 – $25.48 to $33.23 per hour (FLSA, Non‑Exempt). Placement based on education and experience.
