Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM),

DOT Inspections

and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Diagnose and perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, hydraulic, braking, cooling, engine, transmission, and related systems. Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges. Utilize hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks. Serve as primary point of contact between the customer and Fleet Services. Maintain effective communication with all parties to ensure customer needs are understood and work is completed in compliance with safety, health and environmental policies and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT. Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation. Document findings according to company standards, upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and all observations on Repair Orders using company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application, and accurately complete DOT forms. Maintain company-issued service truck, perform safety checks, and conduct daily pre/post-trip inspections. Perform other duties, projects, and tasks as assigned. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or alternative combinations such as an equivalent degree/certification or 5 years’ related experience. Proven ability to perform services described in Primary Responsibilities. Must be at least 21 years old. Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain Driver Qualification File. Possess and provide a set of hand tools necessary for required duties. Current and valid DOT medical card; if it has four months or less of validity remaining, a DOT physical is required.
