HVAC Technician I - Dollywood Theme Park - Full Time Year Round At Dollywood Parks & Resorts, we create memories worth repeating. We do this every day across all properties; all located in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. We are seeking a HVAC Technician I who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand. The right HVAC Technician I checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

This role exists to perform a variety of basic technical tasks related to assisting in the service and repair of all heating, air conditioning, and related culinary equipment located throughout Dollywood Company properties. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Summary Of Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Assist in repairing mechanical and electrical systems with heating and cooling equipment

Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of heating and cooling equipment

Monitor and inspect heating and cooling systems to ensure continued proper operation

Use the TMA work order system for work assignments and record time and materials for each work assignment

Investigate heating and air conditioning complaints; perform minor repair

Install air and water filters on various equipment across all Dollywood Company properties

Operate a motor vehicle while maintaining company’s equipment

Maintain related records concerning time, labor and materials; maintain log of tasks performed and write reports as required

Climb ladders and work off roofing to clean coils and change HVAC filters

Work independently as well as in a team setting

Education And Experience Required

High school diploma or equivalent required

Must be at least 18 years of age

At least 6 months experience of HVAC experience, preferred

Has basic computer skills

Working knowledge of basic heating and cooling systems

Must successfully complete a post-employment offer background check including motor vehicle and drug screen

Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees

Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis

Able to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid TN driver’s license and insurance

Able to balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch, climb ladders and work in confined spaces

Able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 50 lbs) and occasionally heavier weight (up to 100 lbs)

Able to work at heights up to and in excess of 150ft

Able to endure approved exposure levels to various chemicals found in cleaning solvents, adhesives, paints, and lubricants

Able to use hand tools, power tools and equipment such as air compressor, skill saw, electric drill, impact wrench, hand wrenches, shovel, etc.

Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Able to be clean‑shaven in order to properly utilize a respirator
