We are partnering with a global top-tier zipper manufacturer, with production and service sites in the UK, Italy, and across Asia. With a strong presence in the global fashion supply chain, particularly in apparel trims, the company is now seeking to expand its business footprint in Europe by appointing a Business Development Manager based in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

Market & Strategy Development:

Conduct market, customer, and competitor analysis to support the formulation of annual strategic business goals.

Sales Channel Expansion:

Build and manage strategies to expand sales channels tailored to brand clients, particularly in the apparel and fashion industry.

Client Engagement & Nomination:

Engage with prospective brand clients, understand their product and quality standards, and drive efforts to secure brand nomination or preferred supplier status.

Client Information & Insight Management:

Establish and maintain client profiles and a comprehensive database to ensure deep insight into client needs and market potential.

Sales Targets & Relationship Management:

Set sales growth objectives and development strategies for key apparel brands; oversee client communications and relationship management through regular visits and engagement.

Marketing & Leadership:

Lead internal operational meetings, manage the BD/sales team, compile annual performance analysis reports, and ensure achievement of sales and marketing goals.

Candidate Profile Experience

Minimum 3 years in sales within the apparel trims/accessories sector;

At least 1 year in a Sales Manager / Market Development leadership role.

Existing network with major apparel or fashion brand clients;

Strong business acumen with up-to-date understanding of industry trends;

Proven success in independently developing new clients, especially large fashion brands;

Analytical, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving ability;

Excellent team leadership and people management skills;

Willingness to travel frequently across Europe and attend client-facing events.

Languages

Fluent German and English required (spoken & written); other European languages a plus.

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

Familiarity with CRM tools and report preparation;

Strong capabilities in business writing and communication.
