Role Overview Wells Enterprises invites an experienced leader to head our Walmart Brands sales desk. The Team Lead Walmart Brands oversees all sales for customer‑branded products on the Walmart account, manages our Walmart International Business, and drives volume, sales, and profitability objectives in alignment with Wells and Walmart’s growth plans. This position requires strategic acumen, strong leadership, and deep understanding of Walmart’s retail environment, consumer preferences, and market trends.

Responsibilities

Lead joint planning meetings for short‑ and long‑term volume alignment with cross‑functional teams such as replenishment, supply chain, sourcing, and product development.

Manage forecast accuracy, conduct weekly reviews with Demand Planning, and identify opportunities to close gaps and drive incremental growth throughout the planning cycle.

Deliver sales and financial objectives through negotiation, long‑term strategic planning, and relationship development with Walmart.

Monitor financial performance against budgetary goals, identify improvement areas, and implement strategies to maximize results.

Develop and execute an insights‑based short‑ and long‑term growth strategy for Walmart brands, aligning with consumer category trends and Wells objectives.

Lead end‑to‑end management of Walmart brands, ensuring alignment with Walmart’s branding guidelines and requirements.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop packaging designs, marketing materials, and merchandising strategies that resonate with Walmart shoppers.

Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive insights to identify growth opportunities and optimize product assortments, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.

Prepare and lead monthly business reviews and other internal meetings, providing content and pre‑reads in advance of the meeting to drive efficient conversation and decision‑making.

Leverage cross‑functional leadership and influence without direct authority within a matrixed organization to drive required results for Wells and customers across shared resource teams.

Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to a team focused on Walmart customer brands; set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance targets for team members and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field.

7–10 years of progressive sales, marketing, and brand management success managing key accounts; Walmart food, consumables, or private brands experience preferred.

Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a team in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Track record of successful negotiations with Walmart delivering sustainable profitable growth for customer and company.

Extensive and up‑to‑date knowledge of Walmart strategy, systems, objectives, operations, and ways of working.

Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to inform strategic decision‑making.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.

Consistently prioritize and multi‑task within a broad scope of responsibility.

Proven ability to lead and influence both Walmart and internal organization on key initiative development.

Storytelling and business application of insights.
