Retail Service Specialist
The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, store appearance, and shift management in the absence of higher-level managers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Functions
Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
Supervise customer service programs on the retail showroom, ensuring the team executes programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.
Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
Process all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders promptly, and contact customers upon shipment arrival as needed.
Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedures, utilizing the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly; issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods; and stage returned merchandise properly.
Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks, ensuring completion as assigned.
Enforce posted work schedules; ensure team members receive approval for deviations and clock in/out according to policy.
Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, secure money/deposits, prepare bank deposits, ensure night‑time security lights are on, lock doors, arm/disarm security alarms, and secure delivery vehicles.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities
Required:
Strong communication skills
Ability to obtain RSS Certification
Desired:
Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
Automotive systems and repair knowledge
ASE Certification
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
