Privately held vertically integrated commercial real estate investment and development firm with headquarters in Miami is seeking a
Senior Accountant . Highly visible role reporting to an excellent leadership team! The firm is growing very fast with a strong pipeline of deals. Responsibilities include a blend of accounting, finance, and investor relations.
This role oversees day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and supports internal and external stakeholders. It is ideal for a detail-driven professional with excellent communication skills who excels in a fast-paced environment.
Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr
Additional compensation types Annual Bonus
Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, AP/AR, payroll entries, and account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Oversee consolidations across multiple legal entities, operating platforms, and joint ventures.
Support investor reporting such as capital account statements, distribution schedules, and waterfall calculations.
Prepare lender reporting packages, monitor debt covenants, and submit compliance documentation.
Lead budgeting and cash-flow forecasting processes; incorporate new assets and development projects into reporting models.
Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and third-party service providers.
Enhance internal controls, implement process improvements, and optimize accounting systems and reporting tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within real estate investment, development, or related industries.
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, consolidations, and real estate fund/ownership structures.
Experience preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and interacting with lenders.
Proficiency with real estate or multi-entity accounting software.
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
Self-starter capable of working independently and collaborating across teams.
