HMG is seeking an experienced VTE/Crane System Coordinator. The Vertical Transport Equipment (VTE) /Crane System Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of various types of lifting and transport equipment—such as cranes, elevators, and other lifting devices—within the contract.

Responsibilities

Develop lift plans and crane lift studies, coordinating with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to determine crane requirements, schedules and placements.

Schedule crane usage and operator deployments.

Coordinate with logistics teams for cargo placement and movement.

Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, industry standards and manufacturer guidelines for crane operation and maintenance.

Conduct pre‑operational inspections and regular checks for equipment safety and functionality.

Identify potential risks and implement preventive measures to ensure the safety of all workers and equipment.

Oversee routine maintenance and inspections, ensuring cranes are in optimal working condition.

Maintain records of crane operations, safety checks, maintenance schedules and incident reports.

Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve minor problems to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (required).

Minimum of 5 years in crane operation (required).

Combination of previous experience and education will be considered.

Valid crane operator certification and relevant licenses.

Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable security clearances.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.

Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, walking, standing or sitting for several hours, and climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs.

Possess the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.

Requirements

Valid state driver’s license required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
