Recruitment Consultant | IT Infrastructure Staffing Expert | Connecting Businesses with Top IT Talent We’re looking for a Project Engineer who can independently lead technical projects from design through implementation, documentation, and handoff within a small to mid-sized MSP environment. This role requires broad systems and networking experience, strong troubleshooting ability, and clear communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver end-to-end project work: build, configure, deploy, document, and hand off solutions.
Review project scopes and participate in peer design sessions.
Provide project-related documentation and run knowledge-transfer sessions for support teams.
Support escalated tickets and mentor junior technical staff as needed.
Maintain accurate time entry and status updates.
Representative Project Types
Network refreshes (firewalls, switches, wireless, ISP failover).
Server refresh/consolidation and Windows Server deployments.
Cloud migrations (Azure/AWS), including servers, applications, and directory services.
Microsoft 365 and Azure Entra ID migrations, consolidations, or tenant splits.
VOIP deployments, subtenant networks, conference room setups, and UPS implementations.
Required Technical Experience
Networking: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, VLANs, routing, SNMP, STP.
Firewalls and VPNs: Meraki, SonicWall, Cisco ASA, etc.
Wireless systems implementation and troubleshooting.
Windows Server administration and Hyper‑V deployments.
Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra, and cloud platform experience (Azure/AWS).
Virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V), RMM tools, backup solutions (Veeam, Acronis).
Windows and Mac OS support; productivity applications such as Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
VOIP systems (e.g., RingCentral).
