Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills while contributing to the organization's financial accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a commitment to maintaining precise records.
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring the general ledger is kept accurate and up-to-date.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of financial transactions to confirm compliance and accuracy.
- Process invoices, deposits, and vendor statements in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, maintaining precision and adherence to deadlines.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure smooth financial reporting.
- Assist in generating financial statements and management reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial data and address inquiries.
- Work with colleagues to identify and resolve any financial discrepancies.
- Perform additional tasks as required to ensure the efficient operation of the accounting department. Requirements - Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations.
- Experience with bank reconciliations and posting accurate accounting entries.
