Data Architect – Technology Transformation Manager – Architect Location: Jacksonville, FL

Selected Candidate

Hands‑on design and implementation of scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions aligned with the Azure Well‑Architected Framework (WAF) pillars.

Accountable for complex data models, ensuring high quality through strong data‑modelling standards.

Drive best practices for data security, privacy, and integrity.

Ensure reliability and efficiency of data infrastructure in the Azure cloud.

Use AI‑driven data engineering tools to build cutting‑edge use cases and maintain AI‑ready data.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, program managers, and stakeholders to deliver large, complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the production of high‑quality data engineering deliverables, meeting project timelines and mentoring junior team members.

Design, develop, and implement ETL processes to transform and load data from disparate sources into consumable formats for analytics.

Define future‑state data architectures aligned with industry best practices.

Design Data Architecture strategy and assess existing enterprise architectures.

Translate requirements into detailed design specifications.

Define data management strategies that align with business objectives.

Conduct data quality reviews and cleansing, ensuring integrity and quality.

Resolve issues related to data quality, integration, and migration, demonstrating technical leadership.

Provide leadership to the work group, establishing expectations, principles, and responsibilities.

Analyze industry trends in cloud computing and distributed processing, evaluating potential impact on the business.

Research and monitor emerging technologies to identify new product opportunities.

Build strong relationships with peers across engineering for leading data engineering solutions.

Adhere to data engineering and modeling processes, maintaining technology standards.

Skills And Attributes For Success

Data Architecture: Design and implement solutions using Azure Well‑Architected Framework pillars (Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence, Performance Efficiency, Reliability, and Security).

Infrastructure Architecture Diagrams: Create Azure Infrastructure Architecture Diagrams (IAD) that illustrate data solutions.

Data Extraction: Design efficient extraction for high‑volume structured and unstructured data with CDC capabilities.

Data Ingestion: Design batch and stream ingestion strategies for all source data.

Data Processing: Build models and solutions for validation, quality, and profiling.

Data Modeling: Produce high‑complexity data models following industry standards.

Data Store: Design storage models and migration strategies.

Data Consumption: Develop APIs, virtualization, and visualization mechanisms.

Data Governance: Design catalog, lineage, classification, MDM, and exploration frameworks.

Data Security: Implement authentication and authorization methods.

Data Integration: Manage ETL processes and ensure seamless data flow.

Required Technical Skills

Build Data Architecture using patterns such as Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Data Lakehouse, Data Observability, and DaaS.

Proficiency in Azure services (Data Lake, SQL Database, Synapse Analytics) for scalable solutions.

Experience in Azure Data Factory, Function App, and Logic Apps for orchestration.

SQL expertise and programming skills in Python and Java.

Databricks performance optimization, including ingestion, transformation, and consumption.

Design and build Data Platforms integrating disparate sources.

Develop authentication and authorization methods for data security.

MPP design expertise for high‑performance large databases.

Experience with Azure Data Bricks, Azure SQL, Spark.

Develop dataflows using NiFi/ADF and Databricks.

Design and implement large analytic warehouses.

Experience with Distributed Message Systems like Kafka.

Hands‑on Python, PySpark, or R.

Advanced SQL query and procedure development.

Understanding of big data and distributed architecture.

Create ingestion workflows using Oozie or similar tools.

Knowledge of HTTPS, Kerberos, and other security protocols.

Beneficial Technical Skills

Azure Data Lake Store, Databricks Delta Lake.

NoSQL database experience.

Advanced Analytics, ML, and AI.

Graph Databases (Neo4j, Cypher, CosmosDB).

Microservice development.

Education

B.E. / M.S. in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, IT, or related field preferred.

Certification in Big Data (Cloudera/Hortonworks/Databricks).

What We Offer You Compensation ranges and benefits comply with U.S. pay transparency laws. Base salary ranges for this role in the U.S. are $145,500–$280,000, with higher ranges in NYC, Washington State, and California. Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension, 401(k) plans, and paid time off. Our hybrid model allows collaboration 40–60% of the time in person.
