What is an Occupancy Verification? The purpose of the property inspection is to verify property occupancy and report the general condition of the property using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
Responsibilities
Complete inspections within 4 days of assignment.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Spend extended periods driving and making multiple stops during the day in the assigned territory.
Complete most inspections in 5–6 minutes.
Requirements
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle with good gas mileage; you pay for your own gas.
Smartphone (Android or iPhone) with app access.
Printer.
Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. You can earn an equivalent of $30–$40 per hour. Depending on county, you may complete 20–500 inspections per month, working 2–30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates; higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set minimum, but work is consistent month‑to‑month.
No mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
