FAR INSPECTIONS
Overview
FAR Inspections is seeking independent contractors to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders, based in Reno, NV. This position offers a flexible schedule and predictable income.
Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required; strong time management and deadline adherence are essential.
What is an Occupancy Verification? The primary purpose of the inspection is to verify property occupancy and report on general condition via mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% may require interior photos after a property has gone vacant.
Responsibilities
Most inspections take 5–6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days of assignment.
Report general condition and determine occupancy per industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Drive extensive hours while making multiple stops in the assigned territory.
Requirements
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage preferred).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check with valid driver’s license.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection is paid at a flat rate, varying by county and volume. Expected earnings range from $30–$40 per hour. Depending on the county, you may complete 20–500 inspections per month, working 2–30 hours per week. Lower volume counties pay higher rates; higher volume counties pay lower rates.
No mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
