What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations for the cryptocurrency exchange
Document risk reporting procedures and assist in daily risk reporting and monitoring of markets
Proactively identify and report risks, escalating material issues to risk managers
Conduct compliance investigations into potential rule violations and perform compliance-related audits
Communicate compliance analysis and findings to department management and other business members
What is Required (Qualifications):
Deep knowledge of global regulations and mandates pertaining to cryptocurrency and digital assets
Minimum of 3 years of experience with cryptocurrency exchange platforms and risk management protocols
3+ years of experience coordinating money transmitter licenses with states
2+ years of experience coordinating regulatory approvals with FINRA, SEC, CFTC, or NFA
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Familiarity with blockchain technology, its underlying concepts, architecture, and protocols
FINRA Series 7/24 certification is a plus but not required
Knowledge of global AML/CTF and sanctions risks and regulations
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a structured manner
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups
