5 days/week — 40 hours weekly Shifts Available: • 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM • 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM • 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Contract Duration: 3+ months (possible extension based on performance)
Position Overview: The Pharmacist Level 1 supports patient care by preparing and dispensing medications, advising the multidisciplinary healthcare team on pharmacological matters, and monitoring patient drug therapies to ensure safe and effective treatment.
Key Responsibilities: Accurately and promptly dispenses medications. Resolves formulary and non-formulary medication inquiries in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Provides evidence-based dosing and therapeutic recommendations, considering patient age and pharmacokinetics. Conducts patient education regarding medication use, proper dosing, timing, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Education & Licensure: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Licensed Pharmacist with NYSED.
Compensation: Travel Rate: $100.93/hr (OT at 3x regular rate) Local Rate: $92/hr (OT at 1.5x regular rate)
