The Director of OSP Engineering is a hands‑on technical and people leader who will own the design, standards, and engineering execution for our FTTH network. This is a working Director role in a fast‑paced, high-accountability, small‑company environment. You will personally contribute to complex designs while leading and developing a team of engineers and managing third‑party design partners.

We are looking for someone who embodies our culture: a leader at every level, an owner who steps into challenges, a doer who moves fast, a scrappy builder who gets more done with less, and a learner who relentlessly raises the bar.

You will directly influence the quality, cost, and scalability of our network—and will play a foundational role in how we design, build, and grow.

Execution Management

Own engineering schedules and ensure alignment with construction, permitting, and business priorities

Monitor workloads and shift resources quickly when needed—we move with urgency and a bias for action

Proactively identify bottlenecks, risks, and inefficiencies; take action without waiting to be asked

Lean into scrappy, resourceful problem solving—more outcomes, less overhead

Vendor & Partner Leadership

Manage and hold accountable third‑party design firms and engineering vendors

Set clear expectations, quality standards, and deliverable requirements

Provide direct and candid feedback to internal and external partners—always with professionalism and clarity

Build strong relationships while ensuring performance, accuracy, and timely delivery

Cross‑Functional Leadership

Partner closely with internal and external stakeholder to align engineering with real‑world field constraints and business goals

Bring clarity and preparation to every meeting or discussion—clear communication is a core value

Represent engineering in executive‑level planning, updates, and decision‑making

Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization

Drive meaningful improvements to engineering efficiency, cost per home passed, and design quality

Lean into learning: constantly question assumptions, seek feedback, and push for 1% improvement every day

Reduce rework, eliminate waste, and champion smarter, simpler, more scalable engineering processes

Remember: we’re customer‑obsessed, and great engineering directly impacts customer experience
